Euphoria lies in the insane, the unspeakable acts of sorrow we consume
And as we scream unto tomorrow, pledging to assume acts we know we cannot behold
Do you hear the children weeping?
And do you know that I am screaming?
Late night trauma laced with early morning hope
Falling from stars too far to even acknowledge our home
Laughter comes to those who wait, and patience drowns those who attempt to escape
Lead me to the long lost light in the dark, and promise me that I will leave my mark
Is it wrong that I dream of your tear stained face and your body tremors in arms that are my own
Is it wrong that I crave for your cry of agony and souls intertwining in order to roam
I want to take you to places made of makeshift shelter from the limits of the sky
And I want to lead you to places that make you safer and make you smile
Because your overdose on sorrow is leading me to give up on life
And the hallucinations can only illuminate my eyes to make me so blind
And arching and overcast light can only ever make me so mad
Because it aches like shit to always see you this bad
I’d bleed if I was asked, and I’d drown this world in tears if my heart opened to your own
To depart from this life laced in make believe romance and poisoned dreams that we can both call our home
In all freakin honesty, I’m not even quite sure what this is all supposed to mean…

I like this one! It's sad and hopeful all at once. I really like the flow and...er the "druggy rhythm." (Ha. That's the only way I can describe it. ;P )
